3. The scruffy basement dweller look may be a hit with younger women, but it won’t get you very far with older woman. Women of all ages usually prefer a guy who looks good. They like someone with a sense of style and who has obviously taken time to make the most out of his appearance, especially on a first date. You wouldn’t want her to show up for your first date in old and wrinkled clothes, without any make up and her hair a mess, would you? What makes you think she would like it any better if you did?
